THANKS TO SAD, A NEW YEAR OF DREAMS

Dear friends and supporters, September brings with it the scent of notebooks and dreams that begin to take shape again. On September 10th we celebrated the Ethiopian New Year (year 2018 according to the local calendar).

Newcomer children – Rahel, Lidiet, Debora, Beredu and many others – coming from situations of extreme poverty, were welcomed and included in the SAD and Foster Home project.

Thanks to your support, they were able to start the new school year and return to their desks with the hope of building a brighter future.

Ethiopia continues to experience a difficult time: poverty and heavy floods put a strain on communities. 

But right there, in the heart of the difficulties, the smiles of the women and children included in the projects of GMA Naples are born.

Among the urgent projects, we highlight the water connection in the schools of Hosanna.  Tthey have been waiting two years for this to be implemented!

OUR DEPARTING VOLUNTEERS

At the end of October, Nunzia, Marisa, Giovanna and other volunteers will leave for Ethiopia. It will be a journey of meetings, listening and sharing with the children and families we support. 

Many thanks to all of you who are sending us extra donations for this trip, the last one from Germany of €1,000, which we will use to buy nutritional products and medicines for the Shashamane Malnutrition Centre.

GMA Napoli’s favors celebrate your special moments by opening the doors of school to children in Ethiopia who live inside the Shashamane prison together with their mothers.
They too have the right to an education!

Every baptism, confirmation, wedding, or graduation becomes a gift that provides a desk, a book, and the chance to build their own future.

We look forward to seeing you at the Parish of Gesù Divino Maestro, Via Marmolito 1/A, 80010 Quarto (NA).

It will be a joyful moment of prayer with missionary testimonies.
